What is something that the people you work with have to deal with that you want to fix?
I am actively working to increase awareness in the local business community about the programs COMIDA offers.
What do you do at COMIDA?
I act as a resource for businesses, identifying needs and matching them with programs – from established companies to those looking to expand to the Monroe County area.
What are your credentials/past experience, for working in your position?
I have a bachelor’s degree in Social Science from St. Bonaventure University and am currently working on my master’s degree in Public Administration. I have worked in the banking and non-profit industries prior to working for COMIDA.
What do you like about working at COMIDA?
The people! From business owners to colleagues to other economic development partners, the people are what I enjoy most.
What’s your background?
I was born and raised in Monroe County, and after finishing my degree, realized there was nowhere else I would want to start my career than back home.
What are the values that drive you?
I value honesty and generosity and pride myself on treating other people with respect.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two dogs, checking out local parks, and heading to the Public Market.
